Quarterhouse Writers

As someone who came to creative writing later in life, Janet is a firm believer that it is never too late to start. Whether you want to write a short story, poem, novel, script, screenplay or you are just a keen blogger, Janet can suggest many techniques to improve your style and confidence.

Following on from the 2025 Folkestone Literary Festival, Janet established a supportive community of writers of all levels, from complete beginner to seasoned storyteller. The workshop provides an safe, inclusive environment, where every idea, big or small, is supported in a fair and non-critical setting.

Janet is currently developing an online 10-week creative writing course.
